Kumamoto Prefecture’s Kumamoto Castle (熊本城) is considered one of the three most famous castle in Japan. For a limited time last evening, the castle was entirely painted with pink lights. While it doesn’t look as majestic, it was for a good cause to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Other famous landmarks in Japan such as the Tokyo Tower, and recently the Tetsujin 28-go statue in Wakamatsu Park have been similarly lit in pink to promote the same cause.
