It has been announced that AKB48 member Watanabe Mayu (渡辺麻友) will be making her solo debut next February, the fourth member to release a solo single after Maeda Atsuko, Tomomi Itano and Iwasa Misaki.
Her new single is titled “Synchro Tokimeki (シンクロときめき)” and will be released on 29 Feb 2011. What makes her solo debut even sweeter is that the song will be featured as the theme song in a upcoming drama series which Mayuyu will also be starring for the first time.
Mayuyu has also announced that she plans to reach the Oricon #1 spot with her first single and I’m sure many fans will be rooting for her solo debut.
