AKB48 will be releasing their 24th single “Ue kara Mariko” (上からマリコ)” on 7 Dec 2011 and a short clip of the PV has been shown on a TV variety.
The popular idol group AKB48 had revealed the cover jackets for the upcoming 24th single “Ue Kara Mariko (Mariko From the Top)” featuring the 16 Senbatsu members chosen from their recent 24th Single Senbatsu Janken Tournament.
As the name suggests, the title of the idol group's upcoming single is derived from the recent Janken Tournament winner, Shinoda Mariko. The PV will be directed by Takahashi Eiki, who has been in charge of AKB48’s previous PVs including “Keibetsu Shiteita Aijou“, “Sakura no Hanabira Tachi 2008“, “Ogoe Diamond“, “10nen Zakura“, and “Ponytail to Shushu“.
The album covers has been unveiled and its really lovely as well. Gonna get myself a copy of the Team K version ^^
AKB48's “Ue Kara Mariko” will be available in four editions: CD+DVD Type-A, Type-K, Type-B, and a Theater Edition. All of the editions of this CD will include their B-side song, “Noel no Yoru” and Type-A will include an additional song titled, “Rinjin wa Kizutsukanai (Team A)”, Type-K with “Zerosum Taiyou (Team K)”, Type-B with “Yobisute Fantasy (Team B)”, and Theater Edition with “Hashire! Penguin (Team 4)”.
Each DVD will also include one volume of 24th Single Senbatsu Janken Taikai Document. So one will need to get all three versions to complete all three volumes of the series.
