After six months and five contests, the winner for the ”AKB48 YJ7 vs YM7: Jimbocho x Gokokuji Taisen” showdown has finally been decided and the results were announced through a special commercial.
In the end, the overall champion was Team YM7 will consist of Tomomi Kasai, Takajo Aki, Sashihara Rino, Miyazaki Miho, Komori Mika, Sato Sumire, and Takeuchi Miyu. Kasai is missing in the CM because she was recently diagnosed with peritonitis, and probably has not recovered yet.
For those that are unaware, Weekly Young Jump and Weekly Shonen Magazine each recruited a team of seven AKB48 members for a competitive project called “AKB48 YJ7 vs YM7: Jimbocho x Gokokuji Taisen.” Then the two rival teams competed against each other on different themed contest including which team was the most kawaii and which had the most unique talents, etc.
