Idol group AKB48's sub-unit Not Yet's new single “Pera Pera Perao” grabs the top spot on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking chart for November 15th. The single reportedly sold 71,000 copies on its first day.
KB48's Not Yet had previously earned first place for their debut single “Shuumatsu Not yet” and second single “Naminori Kakigoori,” giving them two consecutive #1 singles. We need to wait for the end of the week if this will be the group's third consecutive #1.
The last time that a sub-unit from either a male or female idol group was able to accomplish this feat was when the Morning Musume sub-unit Mini Moni, which was approximately nine years and ten months ago.
AKB48's sub-unit Not Yet is composed of Yuko Oshima, Rie Kitahara, Rino Sashihara and Yui Yokoyama. Check out the group's discography at CDJapan.
