It's recently been confirmed that the upcoming Digimon Xros Wars sequel “Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Race Through Time” will be the Kamen Rider Decade of the Digimon franchise. How will it happen? Read on:
The October issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Newtype magazine is revealed that the new anime series will bring together the lead characters from the previous entries in the Digimon franchise as “Digimon Hunters”.
TV Asahi producer Tomoharu Matsuhisa, Toei Animation producer Hiroyuki Sakurada will return for the new series, but Yukio Kaizawa (Digimon Tamers, Gegege no Kitarō, Jigoku Sensei Nube) will be the new series director.
The anime will introduce a mysterious new boy named Tagiru Akashi, voiced by Marina Inoue, with his partner Gumdramon, voiced by Kumiko Watanabe, will be the season's main characters. Tetsuya Kakihara and Houko Kuwashima will play the Digimon partner Ryōma Mogami and Ren Tobari, respectively. Megumi Han and Yumi Sudou round out the cast as Airu Suzaki and Mami Kisaki.
